NEW DELHI (Online) - India Tuesday expressed strong disapproval of the meeting between Pakistani prime minister s foreign affairs advisor Sartaj Aziz with Hurriyat leaders, saying it would be "counter-productive" towards meaningful dialogue between the two countries.
External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid told media persons here that India has "done a great deal" to build public opinion in favour of a dialogue with Pakistan, and such actions by Pakistan are not encouraging but counter-productive.
"If there is a desire for a meaningful dialogue, conducive circumstances have to be created," Khurshid was quoted as saying.
"It would be necessary for Pakistan to keep in mind India s point of view, sentiments and sensitivities" for a result-oriented dialogue, he said.
However, Salaman said that Pakistan and India had agreed to defuse LoC tensions.
India says it has also raised the issue of Mumbai attacks with Sartaj Aziz.
