ISLAMABAD  - The Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday and assured his support to government over the future course of action with Taliban.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed the current situation following the death of Hakimullah Mehsud in a drone strike along with the possibilities of peace talks with the Taliban.
Khursheed Shah said he will support whatever decision the government takes to deal with Taliban. Earlier, Shah Tuesday urged the people to unite and assured fullest cooperation to the government in resolving the issues confronting the country.
He said it was the opinion of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) that the policies of dictators have created problems.
Referring to the All Parties Conference (APC), he said the opposition had given a mandate to the government for holding a dialogue with the Taliban.
The opposition wants to strengthen the country’s democratic institutions and does not want to give a tough time to the government, he said.
