LAHORE:
Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has announced to stage nationwide protest
against Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Prof Munawar Hassan on coming Friday,
SAMAA reports on Monday.
The SIC said in its statement that Hassan committed an act of treason, calling Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud a martyr.
Earlier today, lawmakers in Sindh Assembly also strongly criticized controversial remarks of Munawar Hassan on the status of army soldiers martyred in war against terrorism.
