KARACHI: Twenty-nine more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi from 15th to16th November, increasing the patient toll 3,942 in 2013, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh on Saturday.

He said that a total of 4,528 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of which 3,942 were detected in Karachi and 586 in rest of Sindh province.
He informed that 24 dengue fever patients died in Karachi, while two expired in Hyderabad this year so far.
He said 34 new cases were reported across the province in 48 hours (10 Inpatient and 24 OPD cases).
The Dr further informed that so far 548 cases were detected in Hyderabad, nine in Jamshoro, six in Thatta, four in Sukkur, three Shikarpur, two each in Kambar, Sanghar, Dadu, Larkana and Kashmore; and one eachi n Khairpur, Naushehro Feroze, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar and Umerkot since January 2013.
