MUMBAI: Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed for 74 in his farewell in his final match.

The Indian batsman earlier completed his 68th test half-century in front of a packed Wankhede Stadium crowd on Friday.

Playing on his home ground in Mumbai, the match against West Indies will be Tendulkar's 200th and last test as the 'Little Master' brings the curtain down on a glittering 24-year career at the age of 40.

Resuming on his overnight score of 38, the most prolific run-scorer in international cricket played a straight drive off paceman Tino Best to bring up his fifty on the anniversary of his debut test against Pakistan in 1989.

Chants of "Sachin, Sachin" reverberated around the packed stadium, which has a capacity of 32,000, as Tendulkar acknowledged the crowd with a raised bat after reaching the mark.
