ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the plea moved by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member provincial assembly and Communication Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Yousuf Ayub against his disqualification.
The Election Tribunal had declared Yousuf Ayub ineligible over his fake degree.
Three-member bench headed by chief justice iftikhar Muhammad iftikhar chaudhry conducted hearing of petition moved against KP minister Yousaf Ayyub and Wednesday upheld the verdict of ET and dismissed the petition of Yousuf Ayub, declaring him disqualified forever.
According to Chief Justice the accused doesn’t meet the criteria set by Article 62 and 63 of the constitution of Pakistan.

The PTI’s MPA had filed a plea in the SC against the decision of tribunal.
Yousuf Ayub was elected as an MPA from PK-50 Haripur-II.
