LAHORE - Thousands of mourners on Thursday are holding
processions regarding ninth of Moharramul Haram in different cities of
the country in the memory of one of the greatest personalities of
Islamic world who gave unprecedented and unparalleled sacrifice for the
uplift of Muslim Ummah against historical repression and oppression.
Preachers and clerics are wholeheartedly throwing light on bright and candid teachings of Imam Hussain (RA) and his great companions who fell victims to atrocities of cruel forces of cruel rulers.
Security forces have arranged impenetrable arrangements for security and survival of citizens who are taking part in these processions in their local cities.
Apart from this, mourners are also beating their chests (sena kobi) as a ritual while showing their love, suffering and agony of heart and soul for the family members of the great Prophet (Peace be upon him) who were mercilessly assassinated by cruel forces led by their brutal master.
Many people are giving alms and donations to the poor people and wretched of the earth. Apart from this, special stalls of water, milk and tea also have been stalled at different places in the honour of mourners.
